Harry Potter Video GamesRelease Your Inner Wizard: Harry Potter Video Games

When a huge new movie is released lately, you do not just get the film but all of the hoopla that comes with it. There are all manner of merchandise and advertising tools released simultaneously. That includes, figures, books, toys, posters, ringtones, screensavers, and of course video games. The list is never ending. One of the biggest movie franchises to do this in the recent past is Harry Potter.

Its popularity worldwide is unparalleled in recent times, as is the level of merchandise released. There has been a Harry Potter Video game released for every movie in the series so far, which serves to add to its popularity.

Harry Potter video games are popular for many reasons. The loyal Harry Potter fans tend to snap up any memorabilia that comes their way, and this includes the games. Even if they do not like video games in general, they tend to buy the Harry Potter video games anyway. Children play them to death, often completing them with in a few days. They are hard to put down once you start because of the plots that are designed to mirror events that would appear in the book. The story lasts the entire way through the video game. It obviously resembles the movie but also provides a subplot that is unique enough to capture the attention of Potter fans. The graphics are also awesome. All of these factors attract people of all ages and entice them to play. There is no age level on the games, only the usual rating to prevent players too young having a go. As a result, the young to the very old may play and enjoy it.

In the few days after the game first hits the shelf it can be a chore to find one in stock in any outlet that would otherwise sell it. The Harry Potter video games have usually been released to coincide with the film release and so they are the hot topic of the moment. Similarly, the early games may not be stocked anywhere because stores only usually carry a couple of copies of older popular games. Pre-ordering is always an option for games when they first hit the shelves, but otherwise you are best to check out online stores. All games are readily available there and usually cheaper than in regular stores. Use price comparison sites to find the best deals and also look at used stores online, which may reduce the cost further. If you would rather wait a day or so for postage than browsing in shops for hours, then this is the method for you!

Harry Potter video games are some of the best around purely because they have mass appeal. They show no signs of disappearing any time soon either because there are more movies due to be released in the future. If you are not sure whether you will like it, rent it first. I guarantee you will not be disappointed.
